Salon and Spa
 |
Looking and feeling good about yourself is what our onsite beauty salon provides to all our residents. We offer haircuts, perms, coloring, and lots more. Lots of smiles after a day at the salon with registered beautician Carolyn McMullen.
Carolyn has 46 years of experience in the Bath County area and provides personal service to our residents. Carolyn is here every Tuesday and if needed will come in an extra day. All appointments need to be made at the front office. |

Pets
 |
Pets play a large role in the lives of our residents. You will find a number of residents talking among themselves while sitting around our aviary as the birds build their nests, lay their eggs, and hatch their young.
Not to mention the petting zoo that stops by on days when weather permits. Pet therapy works wonders! |

Resident Counsel
 |
| Family councils are held quarterly and give the families an opportunity to voice their concerns and suggestions.
Resident councils are held once a month and gives the residents an opportunity to voice their own opinions and concerns in their care. It also allows them to give ideas for improvements and suggestions for activities. Every concern is addressed with a write-up by the department to which it pertains.

Garden
 |
| Homegrown tomatoes and cucumbers is what our residents wanted in their garden. The care and picking the vegetables bring such a thrill to our residents, not to mention the enjoyment of having fresh vegetables that they have grown themselves for dinner. Our garden physically stimulates and is also rewarding to those who like the feel of dirt on their hands. |

We host a variety of activities and events geared toward our residents' lifestyles. We visit with each resident personally to discover their hobbies and areas of interest, and to get to know them better - our goal is enabling each resident to continue living a meaningful and diverse life.
We are very fortunate to have such a great community of volunteers who dedicate their time in helping our residents with group and individual activities. The Springs Nursing Center also welcome family and friends to participate.

Social Services
 |
Our Director of Social Services ensures we are meeting the social and psychosocial needs of each resident. On admission, we assist with completion of the admission paperwork and provide information pertaining to life here in our community. We can also assist with applying for insurance benefits and Medicaid, and the Director of Social Services acts as a liaison between community resources and residents when needed. Care Plan meetings are coordinated with the interdisciplinary team and the resident and/or family members.
We investigate any grievances or complaints and follow up with the individual filing the grievance. This department can purchase personal items for residents whose families live out-of-area or request that we shop for various resident needs. We coordinate discharge planning with all residents, beginning at the time of admission. This includes presenting alternatives and community resources that are available at the time of discharge.
We strive to involve each resident in his or her individual care planning needs. The Social Services department also in-services staff on resident abuse, resident rights, and confidentiality. |

Housekeeping
 |
Our housekeeping and laundry department work diligently to keep the facility clean. We give our families an option regarding laundry service. Families may decide to do the residents personal laundry or allow the facility to provide the laundry service. |
